Beginning today, Thursday, February 18, a camera will be placed at various roundabout intersections throughout the City of Carmel to collect traffic data. This new technology is referred to as a Miovision Video Collection Unit (VCU) and will consist of a tripod base and a camera on a mast.
Data collected will be used to update traffic counts for the City of Carmel. First, the VCU camera will be set up at the roundabout located at 106th Street and Gray Road and then placed at the following locations over the next several months:
- 126th Street and Hazel Dell Parkway
- 116th Street and Spring Mill Road
- 116th Street and Keystone Avenue
- 136th Street and Keystone Avenue
The data collection process is not expected to interrupt any traffic movement. We appreciate your support during this research process.
