MovieMark Holiday Movie Preview

Thanksgiving weekend and Christmas break are always a great time to get out of the cold with the family and go to the movies. Here is a look at what is coming your way this Holiday Season.

Twilight Saga: New Moon will be all the rage on November 20. The Twilight franchise has the biggest buzz in today’s pop culture and your teenagers will be trying to be the first in line for this one.

Opening November 25 a comedy starring John Travolta and Robin Williams called Old Dogs. The two stars wind up in charge of a pair of 7-year-olds. This laugher will be perfect for the family after the turkey dinner.

The Road was adapted from the Pulitzer Prize winning novel by Cormac McCarthy. It stars Viggo Mortensen as a father trying to keep his son safe in a post-apocalyptic world where cannibals are on the hunt. This one is not for the family, but the early buzz says the film and Viggo are fantastic.

Let’s move to December-

On the 4th Robert De Niro stars in Everybody’s Fine. It’s about a father trying to reconnect with his children over the Holidays.

George Clooney is flying high in the new film Up in the Air. A traveling man can’t seem to slow down long enough to find love.

Peter King takes on the best seller, The Lovely Bones, on December 11.

One of the most anticipated films of the year opens December 18: James Cameron’s follow up to Titanic is a Sci-Fi, futuristic film called Avatar.

On Christmas day you will have your choice of Robert Downey Jr. in Sherlock Holmes or It’s Complicated with Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin.
